Train services on Tsuen Wan Line were disrupted on Friday morning after a monkey entered the tracks at Tsuen Wan Station. This is the second such incident in two days.

The first intrusion happened on Thursday at Kowloon Bay Station. This video shows the scene of the monkey walking on the train track. Another video shows that police and Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department's officers capturing the monkey and taking the animal away. The incident led to a temporary suspension of the Tsuen Wan Line and the service resumed to normal at around 10 am.

A vet says that monkeys are social animals and they will only act solitary when being expelled by companions. The animal doctor explains that the weather could be the reason why monkeys appear in MTR stations for two consecutive days because they want to find water to help adjust body temperature.
