Sports day for all in HK

Today is Sport For All Day. For the second consecutive day, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) has opened a wide range of sports and recreational facilities for members of the public to use free of charge.

Despite heavy rain, many residents headed to Harbour Road Sports Centre to play table tennis.

Over a dozen types of facilities are available for free, including public swimming pools, badminton courts, basketball courts, and fitness rooms. Some facilities required advance registration and ballot entry via SmartPLAY.

Some residents said opening the facilities for two days increased their chances of winning a slot in the ballot, while others felt the available session hours were still not long enough.
