First KMB bus route in Northern Metropolis begins service next Monday

KMB has launched its first route in the Northern Metropolis. Service will begin next Monday.

To accommodate the first public housing estate in the Northern Metropolis -- Fung Wong Leng Estate, the new KMB bus route 77 will run daily from 6am to 8pm starting next Monday, connecting the estate with Tai Ping in Sheung Shui . It passes through Luen Wo Hui Playground in Fanling, Fung Ying Seen Koon and the North District Hospital area.

The full fare is 5.8 dollars, with a two-way segmented fare discount.

The route is expected to extend to Kwu Tung North as early as the fourth quarter this year.

KMB is also preparing to launch six new routes, running from Fanling North and Kwu Tung North, running between Sheung Shui, East Kowloon, Sham Shui Po, and Tsuen Wan as well as Kwai Fong.

More announcements will be made after coordination with the Transport Department.
