Three days into the rescue efforts following Indonesia's deadly earthquake in eastern Flores island that claimed at least 68 lives, medical evacuations via helicopter
are being arranged for residents in East Nusa Tenggara province.
Some 200 have been injured in the disaster, as residents continue to wait for aid.
Military teams are delivering food, clean water and clothing to inaccessible communities by plane.
The quake left widespread damage, with buildings collapsed onto parked cars, homes shattered and trees and boulders blocking roads.
More than 4,500 homes with some19,000 people forced into temporary shelters.
The disaster also damaged 122 health facilities, adding to
the challenges authorities face as they scramble to provide
care to those injured.
