The 52-year-old defendant, Ng Sui-ting, wearing a black peaked cap and face mask, left Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts after being granted bail. He did not respond to questions from the media.
The large dog "Larry" kept by Ng Sui-ting is suspected of attacking three dogs outside the YOHO MALL shopping centre in Yuen Long last month and this month, leaving two dead and one injured.
He is charged with two counts of breaching the Dangerous Dogs Regulation, namely failing to keep a large dog securely held on a leash in a public place.
No plea was required for now. The case was adjourned to October 29, and the defendant was granted cash bail of HK$3,000.
