US President Donald Trump's move to change the name of one of the Great Lakes from Lake Ontario to Lake America has sparked outrage among Indigenous Americans.
The leader of the Seneca nation in upstate New York says it shows a blatant disrespect for the indigenous people.
President of Seneca Nation J. Conrad Seneca says: "Yeah, it's Lake Ontario, and it will always be Lake Ontario."
"You know, if he chooses to change it, it should be changed to an indigenous name. You know? That would be my suggestion then. And I really go back to the roots of the region and this area here in Southern Ontario and New York and within the state of New York and all our indigenous people."
