A Cathay Pacific cargo plane reportedly turned back to Hong Kong after takeoff owing to suspected smoke emitted in the cockpit.
The flight involved, CPA3298, departed Hong Kong International Airport at around 5pm was originally scheduled to fly to Anchorage, Alaska in the United States.
The Boeing 747-8F cargo plane reportedly flew back to Hong Kong about 20 minutes after takeoff.
The cargo plane landed safely at around 5:45pm.
No one was injured.
