Sky Shuttle suspends long-time chopper service between HK & Macao

Helicopter service operator Sky Shuttle has axed its scheduled flights between Hong Kong and Macao which had been in operation since 1990.

Starting this month, their chopper services will switch to a charter-only model, operating five days a week.

The company says the new arrangement is in response to the upcoming relocation of the Macao Heliport to the enclave’s international airport.

The operator also wishes to ensure business meets market demand.

The Macao-Shenzhen route will continue its regular services.

The Hong Kong-Macao route used to offer 54 flights every day since 2008 with fares set at 4,580 dollars per trip.
