The inaugural “Festival of Connoisseurs” will be held in Hong Kong.
Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Algernon Yau attended the press conference.
The gala will be held from November 4 to 6 this year at the AsiaWorld-Expo, featuring race cars, yachts, fine jewelry and watches.
Organizers say the event aims to create a high-value travel experience, and further consolidate Hong Kong’s status as the “World’s Meeting Place.”
Yau says the government’s Budget has earmarked 100 million dollars to woo large-scale international exhibitions to be held in Hong Kong, and the “Festival of Connoisseurs” is the first project funded under the scheme.
