Police raided a drug storage warehouse, and seized suspected cannabis buds worth about 57 million dollars.
Two men have been arrested.
On Tuesday afternoon, police intercepted a 41-year-old man outside an industrial building in Cheung Sha Wan.
About 44 kilograms of suspected cannabis buds were seized in his trolley.
He was then taken back to one of the units, where nearly 200 kilograms of suspected cannabis buds were found.
A 42-year-old man was also arrested inside the unit.
Preliminary investigations found he was a member of a drug trafficking syndicate, and lured the earlier arrested man with money to peddle drugs.
Police believe the operation has prevented a large amount of drugs from entering the local market.
The two arrested men claimed to be renovation workers.
They face two counts of trafficking dangerous drugs and will appear at the West Kowloon Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
