Actor Louis Koo sued over loan with outstanding amount topping $149mn

Renowned actor Louis Koo and his production firm One Cool Film Production were sued over an alleged 70 million-dollar loan by an offshore company.

Court documents say the outstanding amount, including the principal and interest, is more than 149 million dollars.

According to the writ of summons, the two sides signed the loan agreement in September in 2019.

The loan was originally due for repayment in September the following year with both parties having agreed to extend the due date by around one year.

The production company allegedly repaid only 13.2 million dollars and 700 thousand dollars by early 2024 and last month respectively.
