Hong Kong’s first Five Year Plan and the current administration’s last Policy Address will be unveiled on the same day on September 16.
Chief Executive John Lee says releasing the two documents together will help the public better understand how they complement each other.
The city leader says the five year plan will set out long-term development strategies aimed at improving people’s well-being while the Policy Address will introduce concrete measures covering housing, livelihoods and healthcare.
He thanked the public for their input during the consultation period noting residents’ smiles are his greatest motivation.
