Pope Leo urges warring sides in Ukraine to stop

Pope Leo XIV renews his appearl for peace in Ukraine, saying he hopes the

renewed negotiations wiill "bear concrete fruit."

On a sunny Sunday,

the pontiff says "My heart goes out to the suffering of the people,

who have been living in distress and fear for years."

He appeals again to the two sides "to end the violence and halt

the destruction and to open hearts to dialogue and peace."

Pope Leo concludes his remarks by calling for prayers "that harmony

may prevail in all the conflicts of the world."
