The two-day philanthropy forum gathers some 2,000 delegates and leaders from different sectors.
The forum kicks off at Hong Kong Palace Museum. Chief Secretary for Administration Eric Chan and Hong Kong Jockey Club's Chairman Martin Liao attended the opening ceremony. Chan says Hong Kong is committed to transform the city into a global centre for philanthropy.
"Just last year alone, we recognised more than 400 new charitable organisations. Under the "One Country, Two Systems" principle and as a bridge between east and west, we are uniquely positioned to deploy global capital for the greater good."
