Trump threatens Bombardier jet sales in US as Canadian tariffs starts

As these Canad's retaliatory tariffs against the US kicks in

US President Donald Trump vows to launch another round of sanctions

against its neighbours, this time threatening to restrict the import of

Canadian-made Bombardier Jets.

Trump's latest threats comes as Canada's retaliatory tariffs on

more than 700 U.S. goods valued at about 20 billion US

dollars take effect Tuesday.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney had said

the countermeasures match the total value of Canadian products

targeted by the latest 50-percent US tariffs, achieving a

"dollar-for-dollar, rate for rate" response.

On Monday, Trump says he will no longer allow

Bombardier to sell its jets in American unless

they begin manufacturing in the US.
