A new batch of police inspectors and recruits has officially joined the force, after the passing-out parade.
The ceremony was held at the Police College in Wong Chuk Hang.
A total of 17 probationary inspectors and 110 police recruits graduated this year.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Kan Kai-yin, who oversees national security, inspected the ceremony and said although society has returned to a state of calm, national security challenges have become increasingly covert and complex.
Police Commissioner Joe Chow meanwhile notes that the Police College was accredited last month to become the government's first department capable of awarding bachelor's degrees.
