Mourners gather in Chatsworth California following a bus crash tragedy compounded by the subsequent fatal crash of a TV news helicopter that had been covering the collision.

A choir provides the soundtrack to the solemn occasion as the crowd remembers those who were lost.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass was among those in attendance. In a speech to the crowd, she pays homage to the five individuals who lost their lives.

Local Councilman Joh Lee, together with mourners, passed around the flame by lighting each others candles.

Tragedy struck Tuesday when a motorist slammed her SUV into a city bus in Los Angeles,killing at least two people and injuring six others.A TV news helicopter reporting on that incident later crashed, killing both people on board, pilot George Marciniw and reporter Eliana Moreno, and a man on the ground.

Moreno was a familiar voice for NBC4 and Telemundo 52 during the station's aerial coverage. Prosecutors say Bailee Lynn Rios of Simi Valley, who was identified as the SUV driver, was under the influence of drugs when she swerved into the wrong lane, blew a red light and slammed into a Los Angeles city bus. She has been charged with murder following her arrest.
