Anita Mui's ashes may have been stolen

Fans of the late legendary singer Anita Mui suspect Mui's ashes is stolen

and are appealing to the public for clues.

In a social media statement, the fan club says Mui's ashes have been

kept at the Hoi Wui Pagoda at Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island

since her passing in 2003.

During a visit on July 18, a fan found the screws

on the plaque loose and the urn missing.

Mui's family was notified immediately and reported to the police.
