Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he still had no explanation for sudden speed restrictions on Ukraine's use of Starshield. Meanwhile, US President Trump suggested that someone other than Zelenskyy should be negotiating with Russia on Kyiv's behalf.

Speaking during an online meeting with a bipartisan delegation from the US Senate and House of Representatives, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he still had no explanation for sudden speed restrictions on Ukraine's use of Starshield. Starshield is the military-grade version of SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet service, which is the backbone of Ukraine's drone operations and communication. And unfortunately we still face speed restrictions on Starlink and Starshield services in different parts of the front, and we still have no explanation for this, just different strange stories, and we are hearing unfortunately. The fact is that Starlink Starshield services shut off at speed 100 MPH, and this is very bad. And it undermines our frontline logistics, our mid-range strikes.

The Pentagon has not answered questions from The Associated Press about the restrictions. US President Donald Trump told reporters last Friday that he did not order restrictions on the system. He said that he doubted that the disruption came from SpaceX founder and CEO Elon Musk. Meanwhile, Trump also said that someone other than Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy should be negotiating on Kyiv's behalf. TRUMP: "Zelenskyy doesn't know what he's talking about. Zelenskyy is a man that should have had this war settled a long time ago. If he would have listened to me, he would've made a much better deal a long time ago, and it'd have a million people living from his side. And to be honest, I don't think - I think it's time for somebody else to negotiate on behalf of Ukraine."

The US president spoke as Russia launched new attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure using ballistic missiles and jet-powered drones. The Russian Defense Ministry said that it struck Ukrainian targets including a data centre a logistics hub storing components for drones and cruise missiles, an industrial facility making drone components, and a locomotive depot where missiles are stored. It also said it struck a bulk carrier in the Black Sea heading for Odesa with supplies for Ukraine's armed forces. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said Kyiv received no early warning of the attack from partner countries that previously shared their intelligence. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military shared footage of what it said was the first battlefield air evacuation by a UAV in history. The brigade said a wounded infantryman was airlifted to safety by a heavy hexacopter made by Ukrainian company Gurzuf Defence.
