Two local media outlets received suspicious letters containing white powder.

Both were sent from the U.K.

Police arrived outside Hing Wai Centre in Aberdeen after they received reports at around 6 p.m. of Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group's office having earlier received a suspicious letter sent from the U.K.

The package was labeled as "News tip from an overseas Dot Dot News reader", and contained suspicious powder inside.

The item was subsequently handled by the police's Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau, with local staff evacuated from the scene.

Authorities earlier received a report at around 3 p.m. with media outlet HK01 noting that their office in Kwai Chung received a similar letter.
