Israelis on Thursday waited for final election results to confirm what they see taking shape: No majority of parliament seats for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his allies, or for the array
of parties seeking to unseat him
Parties opposed to Netanyahu secured 67 seats in the 120-member Knesset after 85.6%of votes were counted in Tuesday's election. Netanyahu's side won 53 seats.
It raises the possibility of some Jewish and Arab parties teaming up in an effort to unseat Netanyahu.
Final election results could come as early as Thursday evening though no clear winner is expected to emerge.
Arab-led parties made a historic showing, but it's not clear if the other opponents of Netanyahu's far-right government would form a coalition
with them to reach a majority of seats in parliament.
