Water pipe burst in Jordan with water supply resuming at 9 p.m.

A water pipe burst in Jordan with water supply having been resumed at around 9 p.m.

The Water Supplies Department deployed two vehicles and five water tanks to temporarily provide water for local residents.

Water bottles were allocated to the affected community.

The incident happened at around 4 p.m. when WSD staff were repairing a water pipe on Tak Shing Street, at which point an adjoining pipe suddenly burst and released large amounts of water on the road.

After emergency repairs, water supply was restored at around 9 p.m.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the burst.
