Driver arrested over dangerous driving after hitting elderly woman

Police arrest a 42-year-old driver on suspicion of dangerous driving after his van hit an elderly passerby in Sham Shui Po. The 76-year-old woman suffered head injuries and was sent to hospital for treatment.

After the accident, the van was parked on the side of the road. A dent appeared on the front of the vehicle. Blood stains were spotted on the ground.

Police received reports on Saturday afternoon, saying a van was travelling on Camp Street toward Castle Peak direction before it struck an elderly woman who was crossing the road.
