Two students were killed in a shooting at a high school in the southern Philippines,
one of them the gunman, a grade 9 student who killed himself.
This is the second such incident in the country in less than two months.

The shooting took place at a high school attached
to the privately run Ateneo de Zamboanga University
in the southern Philippines.
One parent took video on his phone of the scene outside
the school at the time.
"There's gunshots here in Ateneo, help, help, help."
eyewitness Joe Darryl L.Jaron says.
Jaron had just driven his child to the school when he heard the gunshots,
prompting students to scream in panic and dash to safety.
The gunman, a grade 9 student, brought a pistol and a rifle onto the school campus
and fired at students inside the classroom, according to a police report.
The gunman killed a grade 10 student before killing himself.

It is a very, very sad day for all of us. The university is saddened with
the incident that happened today here at the junior high campus at Tumana.
As of now we confirmed that there are two fatalities. As for other information
we are coordinating with authorities for the full report and full details
which we hope to provide as soon as possible.
The suspect initially fired at a teacher but it was not clear if the teacher was hit.
Hundreds of students were evacuated to safety after the gunshots
rang out in the high school building, which is in a secure campus,
separate from a larger campus of the Catholic university.
Authorities are currently establishing the circumstances surrounding the incident.
