National Day Fireworks Display to showcase new patterns

The National Day Fireworks Display will be held in the evening of October 1 at Victoria Harbour.

The 23-minute show features over 31,000 firework shells across eight segments, incorporating patterns including red hearts and yellow five-pointed stars.

New sun-and-pendulum shaped elements will be staged.

This year marks the first time a foreign-funded enterprise from Canada has sponsored the 18-million-dollar National Day pyrotechnic show.

In case of adverse weather including the red or black rainstorms, the show will be postponed to October 3.
