
Affected by the northeast monsoon, the Hong Kong Observatory logged a minimum temperature of 23.3 degrees Celsius this morning, marking the lowest temperature recorded so far this autumn.
With brisk winds during the early morning, citizens commuting to work and school felt an autumnal chill and layered up to keep warm.
The Observatory reported temperatures across various districts generally dropped to around 23 degrees Celsius.
Today is expected to be generally cloudy and dry, with daytime temperatures recovering to around 29 degrees Celsius.
Winds are forecast to remain relatively strong over the next couple of days, before the monsoon eases slightly in the latter part of the week into early next week, when the region will come under the influence of an upper-air anticyclone bringing generally sunny skies and a gradual rise in the mercury.
