Financial services chief welcomes participants to APEC FMM

Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Christopher Hui delivered a speech at a seminar related to the finance ministers' meeting, welcoming representatives of participating economies.

He said in face of global economic transformation and challenges, no economy can remain unaffected. Only through cooperation and innovation, can prosperity be achieved. He also noted that the Hong Kong's inaugural Five-Year Plan clearly proposed to promote finance+ development so the industry can better serve the real economy -- and Hong Kong will further consolidate its status as a global offshore RMB trading centre and an international asset and wealth management centre.
