As Hong Kong is hosting the APEC Finance Ministers' Meeting for the first time, Chief Executive John Lee says this meeting is the last professional ministerial-level meeting before next month's APEC leaders' informal meeting to be held in Shenzhen. He says it is of great significance for Hong Kong to leverage its financial advantages and serve APEC China Year -- including the city's experience as an international financial centre to showcase our comprehensive development in economic, financial and social aspects to the attending APEC member economies, representatives of international organisations and the overall international community. It will also introduce Hong Kong's role as the central city of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, leveraging its opportunities to connect with countries and the combined advantages of international opportunities.
