British Prime Minister Andy Burnham holds a bilateral meeting with Ukrainian President
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, after both leaders participated in Independence Day
proceedings in Kyiv.
The UK government agrees to hand over blueprints for
British-made components for the Scalp missile, a French version
of the UK's Storm Shadow cruise missile, allowing Ukraine
to make these missiles domestically.
However, it is understood the technology is complicated
and it will be months, if not years before the missiles can be
made available for use.
Nevertheless, Zelenskyy says he is happy that Britain has
been a strong and clear supporter of Ukraine from the start
of the war with Russia.
