Nepal's army has set up a temporary zip line across the Trishuli River

to help residents cross to the other side after massive floods damaged

roads into the area.

Army personnel assisted people onto the zip line in Bidur and helped them

disembark after crossing the river.

Residents waited on the riverbank for their turn.

The mudslide and flood had killed more than 1,200 and more than 4,200

remain missing in Nepal alone.

Across the border in China, a barrier lake formed by the mudslide has

discharged naturally and related risks have been eliminated,

according to local officials.

However, through a combination of human and technology, the authorities

are still monitoring any secondary debris flows in the ice-rock avalanche

zone.
