A Hong Kong court sentences two men to jail for up to three years and two months after the pair pleaded guilty of conspiring to commit secession.
The sentencing is held at Wan Chai District Court. The two men, 27 and 25 years old, were members of the Hong Kong Democratic Independence Union, founded in 2024.
The defence argued the two men suffered from autism. But the judge questioned the plea factor and said that "everyone claims to have issues after being arrested."
