Dominican Republic officials are working through the weekend to ensure foreign tourists affected by a massive fire can return quickly to their home countries.
The fire at the Viva Dominicus Beach by Wyndham resort forced the evacuation of nearly 1,700 tourists, and led to the death of an Italian woman.
Hotel management staff said they are working with police to expedite the filing of missing reports online for guests who need them.
Guests from the destroyed resort have been relocated to other hotels in Punta Cana and Bayahibe.
