Tai Po district councillor Peggy Wong stresses she is law-abiding

The Independent Committee investigating the Tai Po Fire has uploaded several witness and reply statements, including that of Tai Po district councillor Peggy Wong. Wong is one of the witnesses who refused to attend the public hearing.

During the hearing, the committee's senior counsel Victor Dawes mentioned Wong had obtained 279 proxy votes from Wang Fuk Court residents. In her reply, Wong says she only received more than 20, whereas the over 200 votes were given to her volunteers and district office.

Wong stresses she and her team have always abide by the law.
