2nd World Humanoid Robot Games held in Beijing

The second World Humanoid Robot Games continues for a third day.

Spectators can enjoy watching the robots compete in sports events including a 400-metre obstacles race as well as gymnastics' floor exercise events.

The machines compete in a variety of athletic events showcasing the nation's latest advances in the field of robotics.

In just the gymnastics events alone, the robots were are performing feats ranging from backflips to spectacular leaps.

A number of them even took part in Tai Chi matches, with an organiser of the match stressing he hopes such events could promote a healthy development blending traditional Chinese culture and modern technology.
