Ukrainian military says it has struck an oil refinery in Russia's Leningrad region and a military air base in Krasnodar region overnight.

This follows a deadly attack on Kyiv by Russia that killed 38 people, one of the deadly strikes this year in the four-year long conflict. The death toll continues to climb from a Russian strike on a warehouse west of Kyiv, the war's deadliest attack so far this year.

The strike on Friday night on the warehouse - an ammunition storage facility according to Ukrainian officials - sparked massive explosions and fires that swept through dozens of nearby homes and buildings. Ukrainian State Emergency Service published a video on Saturday which showed people taking shelter underground to hide from the attack.

President Zelenskyy says on social media following the attack that Russia has chosen a tactic of escalating terror with their constant air raid alerts across Ukraine. He furthers that every countermeasure is already being deployed, and that it is crucial the country significantly accelerates the production of interceptors.

Zelenskyy calls the devastation "a criminal case." Meanwhile, Russia's Defense Ministry says it is preparing to launch "massive strikes" against Ukraine's energy infrastructure, following a Ukrainian drone campaign against a retailer dubbed "Russia's Amazon" as well as the country's oil and gas sector, which Kyiv says both funds and directly fuels Moscow's invasion of Ukraine.
