Footage shows Philippines vessel's alleged provocation of Chinese boat

Chinese authorities releases video footage that shows a Philippine boat said to have deliberately provoked trouble and collided with a China Coast Guard ship

in waters near Xianbin Jiao of China's Nansha Qundao on Friday.

A CCG vessel on Friday conducted a law enforcement operation in waters near Xianbin Jiao, part of China's Nansha Qundao.

The Philippine official vessel 3015 was said to have ignored warnings from the Chinese side, changing course and accelerating across the bow of the Chinese coast guard vessel, resulting in the collision.

Footage shows that within 10 minutes, the Philippine vessel has alledgedly staged two provocations.

In an earlier statement, the Philippines' Department of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the country's sovereign rights and jurisdiction over Meiji Jiao and Zhubi Jiao, which are part of the Nansha Qundao.
