China accuses Philippines boat causing collision

Chinese Coast Guard accuses a Philippines vessel of causing a collision with a Guard's boat in the South China Sea.

The Coast Guard's WeChat account says the Sanzhou was conducting lawful rights protection and law enforcement operations when the Philippines boat deliberately changed course and cut diagonally across the bow of Sanzhou.

A spokesperson for the Coast Guard warns the Philippine side to immediately stop all acts of infringement and provocation, A Philippine Coast Guard spokesman says the Chinese vessel rammed the BRP Datu Magat Salamat as it was carrying out maritime patrol to deliver fuel subsidy to fishermen.
