Voltage dip at 1:09pm , affecting Kowloon and New Territories

A 400,000-volt power cable operated by CLP, connecting Lai Chi Kok to Tsz Wan Shan, experienced a brief voltage dip at 1:09pm, causing over a hundred false fire alarms in Kowloon and the New Territories, along with reports of people trapped in elevators.

They include a building on Austin Road in Tsim Sha Tsui where Fire Services Department personnel were sent to inspect and provide assistance.
